Rodrigo Y Gabriela steels Guster's thunder

I don’t get out much.

Admittedly, I don’t love being in large crowds of people. But some things are worth suffering for.

I went to see Guster, December 14,2006 at the Ogden Theatre in Denver and was pleased to see that Rodrigo Y Gabriela were opening for them. It was probably the best opening act I’ve ever seen. Usually you can’t wait for the opening act to get off the stage but this time it just wasn’t the case. I’m not faulting Guster for it but this act was a tough one to follow. Ryan Miller, the lead singer of Guster, even commented that he “was afraid there wasn’t going to be anyone left”. The place got noticeably less crowded by the time Guster was into their 3rd song.

They’ve got a great story of persevering to find success and if they’re coming to some little place near you, it’s a must see. If you love the guitar or just want to see a great show, these are the people to see.
